The September 2025 Ifop-Fiducial Personality Dashboard for Paris Match and Sud Radio confirms the climate of political mistrust that is taking hold in France. As in July, none of the personalities managed to exceed the symbolic 50% mark of good opinion. The ranking thus opens with relatively low scores, illustrating the absence of a truly unifying figure.

At the top of the ranking, Édouard Philippe regains first place with 46% of good opinions, ahead of Dominique de Villepin (45%), who has fallen back after dominating the previous months. Nicolas Sarkozy completes the podium at 43%, confirming the former president’s return to favor despite a climate of mistrust.

Gabriel Attal and Jordan Bardella remain at a high level (42% each), as does Sébastien Lecornu, who registers a 3-point rise since his arrival at Matignon. His appointment as Prime Minister gives him greater visibility and strengthens his base. Marine Le Pen, meanwhile, is regaining ground, recording a 4-point rise (40%), after several months marked by an erosion of her image.

The President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron, remains at a very low level, plateauing at just 29%. Jean-Luc Mélenchon gained one point in July (28%), but remains at the bottom of the ranking.

But it is François Bayrou’s situation that really stands out in the September scorecard. With only 23% of good opinions, down 7 points on the previous month, the former Prime Minister finds himself at the bottom of the ranking. This sharp drop can be explained in part by the recent tensions, marked by the announcement of budget measures in July 2025 and the failure of the vote of confidence in early September.
