The October 2025 Ifop-Fiducial Personality Scoreboard for Paris Match and Sud Radio confirms the climate of political mistrust that is taking hold in France. As in September and July, none of the personalities surpassed the symbolic 50% mark for good opinion. What’s more, for the first time since this unprecedented sequence, no one has even reached 45%: the month’s ceiling stands at 42%.
On the executive side, Emmanuel Macron’s situation is the first to attract attention:51st in the rankings with 22% of good opinions, the lowest score at the bottom of the table. The President has a very high level of “bad opinions”, with more “very bad opinions” (44%) than Jean-Luc Mélenchon (40%), a sign of particularly marked mistrust.
At the top of the ranking, Jean-Louis Borloo is tied for first place with Dominique de Villepin (both 42%), ahead of Édouard Philippe (41%), in a very tightly-packed top table. For reference, the last time Michel Barnier was directly ranked number one was in September 2024, when he garnered 57% of favorable opinions.
At the top end of the ranking, Nicolas Sarkozy stands at 39% “good opinions”, while Bernard Cazeneuve reaches 39% (+1 pt) and Fabien Roussel rises to 39%. At 38%, Ségolène Royal and François Hollande are on a par with Gabriel Attal (-4 pts).
The month’s dynamic was generally marked by a general decline, except on the left, where there were several notable increases: Fabien Roussel (+5 points, 39%), Clémentine Autain (+7 points, 32%), Raphaël Glucksmann (+3 points, 34%) and Yannick Jadot (+2 points, 34%). Conversely, Jean-Luc Mélenchon (-1 point, 27%) and Manuel Bompard (-6 points, 28%) fell back.
