For the ninth year running,Alphabet France, a pioneer in mobility solutions for companies and their employees, has carried out a study into the commuting habits of French workers. The study is part of its “Mobility and well-being at work” barometer, carried out in collaboration with Ifop.

The results reveal that in 2025, 75% of working people will use a car to get to work – a level that has been stable for several years. Public transport will be used by 24% of respondents, soft modes by 26%, and 32% will combine several means of transport.

The transition to electric vehicles is accelerating: 14% of drivers drive an electrified vehicle (versus 11% in 2024), and more than one in two (52%) plan to switch to an electric or hybrid powertrain for their next purchase.

Finally, mobility is becoming a real issue of well-being at work: 74% of working people say that the arduousness of their journeys influences their professional choices, underlining the growing role of companies in supporting this transition.
