Ifop asked Avignon residents about the electoral climate ahead of the 2026 municipal elections.nnAssuming a split in the common base, the list that would come out on top in the first round would be that of the Rassemblement national led by Anne-Sophie Rigault (26%), followed by the divers gauche list of Joël Peyre and Paul-Roger Gontard, supported by Cécile Helle, the current mayor (17%). The center-right “Avignon Passion” list, led by Julien Aubert and supported by LR, would be tied with Mathilde Louvain’s LFI-ecologist list (13%).nnIn the event of a union of the right and center, the Rassemblement National list led by Anne-Sophie Rigault would remain in the lead in the first round, this time with 29% of voting intentions. In equal second place (19%) would be the center-right union list led by Julien Aubert and the divers gauche list of Joël Peyre and Paul-Roger Gontard. Then came Mathilde Louvain’s LFI-écologiste list (16%), followed by the PS-PCF list led by David Fournier (15%).
