Collection methodology

The survey was conducted among a sample of 4809 people, representative of the French employee population. Of these, 403 were from the Île De France region, 400 from the Grand Est region, 400 from the Nouvelle Aquitaine region, 402 from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, 401 from the Bourgogne-Franche-Comté region, 401 from the Bretagne region, 400 from the Val-De-Loire region, 401 from the Occitanie region, 400 from the Hauts-de-France region, 400 from the Normandie region, 400 from the Pays de la Loire region and 401 from the PACA region.

The representativeness of the sample was ensured by the quota method (gender, age, profession of respondent) after stratification by region and urban area.

Interviews were carried out by self-administered online questionnaire between July 17 and August 7, 2024.

KEY FINDINGS

The development of artificial intelligence is now the number-one challenge for the transformation of work in the coming years, ahead of work-related reform projects and the ecological transition.

While the definition of professional development has changed little this year, the trend observed in 2023, which associated it less predominantly with a salary increase than in the past, is confirmed in 2024. At the same time, more employees than ever are considering a career change over the next two years.

This year, the majority of employees want to continue to develop within their own sector and company.
