In an Ifop survey carried out in Strasbourg in early September 2025, voting intentions for the municipal elections reveal a particularly fragmented electoral landscape. Assuming a divided central bloc, the Socialist list led by former Strasbourg mayor Catherine Trautmann would come out on top with 25% of voting intentions, closely followed by the right-wing list led by Jean-Philippe Vetter (24%). Behind, the ecologist-communist alliance led by outgoing mayor Jeanne Barseghian would garner 17%, followed by the France Insoumise list led by Emmanuel Fernandes (13%) and the Rassemblement National list led by Virginie Joron (11%). The centrist forces would appear much more marginal: the Renaissance list led by Nicolas Matt would not exceed 4%, while the Horizons-MoDem list led by Pierre Jakubowicz would reach 6%.
If the right and center were to unite behind Jean-Philippe Vetter, the list would rise to 28%, narrowly beating Catherine Trautmann’s Socialist list (27%) and relegating ecologist Jeanne Barseghian to 19%. In this scenario, La France insoumise would hold steady at 13%, while the RN would register a slight increase to 13% as well.
